Henry Moore Studios & Gardens in rural Hertfordshire is the best place in the world to appreciate the work of sculptor Henry Moore.
Moore’s former estate is much as it was during the artist’s lifetime and provides you with the perfect backdrop for his work, and offers you the chance to experience Henry Moore’s home, explore his studios and admire the beautiful gardens.
Online tickets include entry to the sculpture gardens, studios & Becoming Henry Moore Exhibition.
Tours of Hoglands, Henry Moore's family home, can only be booked on arrival (subject to availability) and an additional fee is payable. Please note that tickets for Hoglands sell out quickly on weekends and Bank Holidays.
How accessible are the Studios & Gardens?
There is a fair bit of walking involved, and though we do have paths and benches, much of your visit will be on grassland. We have a number of mobility scooters and wheelchairs available which you can book - call ahead to book one in advance on 01279 844104 / 01279 843333.
Can I bring my own wheelchair/mobility scooter?
Please feel free to bring your own wheelchair or mobility scooter, but any motors must be turned off while inside the galleries and studios. We do recommend that any wheelchairs or scooters are suitable for outdoor and unpaved surfaces as much of the site is grassland or gravelled.
Art Fund National Art Pass
We accept National Art Pass cards. Each card is valid for a 25% discount on the holder's ticket. We will ask to see your Art Pass when you visit with an online voucher.
Can I touch the Artwork?
Yes! While you're outside please feel free to touch the sculptures. However, to protect both yourself and the art works please do not climb on the works or their stands. On bright, sunny days the bronzes can be quite hot, so be careful!
Can I take Photographs?
You are welcome to take photographs for personal use while outside in the grounds. We don't allow photography inside the studios and galleries, and you will need a licence from our Image Archive team if you wish to take photos for professional or commercial use.
Can we bring a picnic or packed lunch?
Yes, we have an outdoor picnic area. Please don't picnic in the sculpture gardens.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry no dogs or other pets except guide dogs and dogs for the disabled. Please don't leave your dog in your car or ask our staff to look after them.
